• Build dynamic financial models to project revenue, expenses, burn rate, runway, and fundraising needs
• Analyze unit economics (CAC, LTV, margins, contribution per product line)
• Stress-test scenarios (e.g. growth vs. flat revenue, new product launch)
• Advise on pricing strategy, sales funnels, and capital allocation
• Develop a path to profitability roadmap or optimize for growth KPIs depending on investor expectations
• Create 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts
• Identify upcoming cash crunches and timing gaps between receivables and payables
• Help negotiate payment terms (e.g. vendors, contractors, landlords) to manage cash better
• Recommend and monitor reserve levels and runway milestones
• Set up and manage departmental budgets
• Work with department leads (e.g. marketing, ops) to align spending with goals
• Track actuals vs. budget and report variances
